A Rainy DayI love it when it rains, well, not all the time. I love it when it rains and when I have nothing to do but just laze around at home. The rain, for some reason, sets the mood of a person. I don't know about you guys but, it does for me. Many times, it makes me feel melancholic. Sometimes, it brings back certain memories, good and bad. Today, I am feeling a bit of everything. I was amused and inspired by Sash's blog entry about friendships. Too upfront and honest in fact, and I liked it. Want to know what's my view and stand on friendships? If yes, stay and read. If not, click the red button on the extreme top right hand corner marked with an " X ", if you are using windows XP, lol. Here goes.. To me, friendships mean the world to me. Yes, they do, in case you don't know, Melvyn Tan does treasure friendships. Why, you ask? Because without my friends, apart from my parents and God, I will not be where I am today. Choose your friends carefully, my mum used to tell me. But aren't friends God given? Do I have the right to choose who I want and don't want as a friend? Well, the answer is, yes. I do choose who I want to mix with and who I do not want to mix with. It's purely a choice. Just like how we choose whether or not we want to seek after God. Choosing whether to sin or not is a choice. Life is about making choices and decisions. And so is making friends. My closest buddies are in church. For those who know me, you should know who they are. Most, if not all, are brothers, which also are not many. I know, I need to have more sister "buddies" in my life, to strike a balance. It's true, there is no such thing as a perfect friendship. Even with my best friend, we have confilcts and arguments like you can never imagine at times. Sadly, it's always my arrogant, prideful self which is the cause of all that. It's not conflicts which makes the friendship stronger, you don't just leave it as that. It's conflict solving which does that. Conflict solving is painful, but refreshing. It creates stronger bonds and better understanding. To me, it's all about more, much more giving, and less taking. More listening and less talking. No I am not trying to boast or be noble, haha. Frienships are important.. Even if it means sharing a simple meal when we are all broke, it does mean something to me. When it comes to helping them, I try to give my all. My best. It's a struggle sometimes, I can't deny that. In turn, I receive loads from them too. From short discipling times, to chats on MSN, on the phone, jamming, hanging out, heart to heart talks and much more.. I am a contented person :) I love it when my buddies ask me for help. That's one way I know that they trust me and can rely on me. To all those who have gone through thick and thin, know me inside out, seen me shed a tear, shared a meal with me, hung out with me, discipled me or even to those who have just popped in and said 'hi', I thank you all very much! :)

A song which really makes me reminisce about certain events in my life. Really makes me think and feel so much.
How's it gonna be - Third Eye BlindI'm only pretty sure that I can't take anymore
Before you take a swing
I wonder
What are we fighting for
When I say out loudI want to get out of this
I wonder
Is there anything I'm going to miss
I wonder How it's going to be
When you don't know me
How's it going to be
When you're sure I'm not there
How's it going to be
When there is no one there to talk to, between you and me,
'Cause I don't care
How's it going to be
How's it going to be
Where we used to laugh
There's a shouting match
Sharp as a thumbnail scratch
A silence I can't ignore
Like the hammock by the door way we spent time in, swings empty
I don't see lightning like las fall when it was always...
About to hit me
I wonder how's it going to be when it goes down
Hows it going to be
When your're not around
Hows it going to be
When you found out there was nothing
Between you and me
'Cause I don't care
How's it going to be.
Hows it going to be.
Hows it going to be
When you don't know me any more
And how's it going to be.........
I Want to get myself back in again
The soft dive of oblivian
I Wanna taste the soul of your skin
The soft dive of oblivian, oblivian!!
How's it going to be
When you don't know me any more
How's it going to be
How's it going to be...

Today, I am going to blog about another of my passions, no it's not DOTA. DOTA is not a passion, it's an addiction. An addiction which, so far, has not gotten me with it's filthy paws yet, lol. Here's a cleaner, healthier passion. It may not cost you $1.5o per hour, but it's definitelty something which I enjoy doing more. If it were cheaper, I would do it almost everyday. It's a sport called wakeboarding, and it costs about $75 - $80 and hour. I usually go with 2 more people, and we split the costs evenly.
I started wakeboarding a few years back. Leon was the the person who introduced me to this sport. It was difficult to learn how to stand etc.. and it is still difficult now when advancing to more difficult moves like jumping off the wake, doing grabs etc. Here are a few pics of Xav, Kev and me doing the sport. Funny? Haha..

This is a trick demonstrated by Xav. It's called the statue. You just stand there and don't move at all.

This is called a toe-side edge as demonsrated by kev.

This is me doing a wake jump.

Kev and his board.

Me and my board.

Xav and his board.
It is a really fun sport. In fact I'm gonna go with Xav and a friend tomorrow to wakeboard. Hmm, I hope the weather is good.
Anyway, here are some fun pics to enjoy :

This looks like a normal picture of a valley/mountain.
But if you turn it vertically..

You get this. Do you see a man's face? Amazing? Fact or fiction. You decide, haha.
