Another Birthday Tribute17th Sept was the birthday of another of my best buddies, Kevin Tan. Got to know him in church since 2002. This guy definitely takes boredom out of life and adds color to it instead. He's also the guitarist of our current band, Slingshot, and was also the guitarist of the now defunct Confusing Simplicity, another band which we formed about 1 year plus back. Kev is a really great guy and super approachable. I never hesitate to ask him for help, advice etc. Ok Kev, this is to make up for last night's lousy sharing. You have really been the most patient friend I have had so far. Thanks for bringing so much fun and laughter into our lives. Continue to be joyful and don't lose that zeal. If there was only 1 life which you have impacted, then it has got to be mine :) Have a great year! Some photos of Kev :
Third Eye Blind fanatic.
Told you he can conjure magic..
Guitarist of the year.Happy birthday!

Alright, time to update my blog again. Was supposed to collect my bass on Sat from guitar workshop after receiving a call from them. So I went down with Kev, only to find out that both our guitars were half done..waste our time. Went for dinner after that. On Sunday, went to church and after lunch and meeting, went to play DOTA! For those of you who do not know what it is, it's an online game where players upgrade themselves and start murdering each other, haha. It's a mod game of the ever so popular Warcraft III. Played with some other church friends. On monday, stayed home till about night time, then went to meet TK, a friend who wanted to buy some toys from me and Kev. So he came to my place, picked me up, but before heading over to Kev's, we made a detour to Sentosa cos TK wanted to pick something up from his friend. It's a place called Artist's Village. I was amazed when I went in, not only because of the art pieces, which were quite good. (I still don't have a digi cam, so can't take pics) I was also amazed by TK's friend's pets. He had a green tree python and, my fav animal there, a baby hedgehog! When I first saw it, it was hiding underneath a small t shirt, so I thought that it was just a hamster or chinchilla. But when it emerged from the cloth, I was surprised to see it. At first I thought that it was a porcupine, haha. Here's a pic of what it looks like, though not the actual one that I saw, but similar. The one I saw had a pointy nose, super cute, haha.
It was only about the size of my palm. When I asked how much it costs, the owner told me $250! Wa..Another friend, Sanjeev told me he could help me get one, illegally, haha. But it will last only only 3-4 years, so, no point I think. Oh yes, and today is Xav's birthday. He told me to blog about how great a person he is. So, ok, here goes. Xavier is an awesome friend. He never fails to bring joy to us. Yup. That's what I have to say for now, sorry Xav, lol. I'll save my sharing for later if I ever get the chance haha. Here are some pics of Xav, hope he does not mind, haha :

Enjoy :)

Is this font size ok or are your eyes hurting already? Anyway, my tag board is pretty much messed up now, it's all the way below, lol. Maybe the pics I posted are too large and it was 'forced' to go down. Hmm..dunno how also. Anyway, in the music world, ex Guns N' Roses members Slash and Duff have sued singer Axl Rose again. This time for some money issue. Axl apparently took their share of royalties and now he is being sued for about 1 million US I think..sian, haha. GN'R is still my all time favourite band despite whatever has happened. I like the music more than the members of the band, but then the music won't happen without them. Oh well, all good things must come to an end. There is life after GN'R, and that is Velvet Revolver, haha. You can read the article somewhere in the web.

A pic of GN'R in the former glory. Yesterdayz~~~~ lol..

Finally have time to update my blog..been pretty busy and lazy, lol. Well, where should I start? Ok, think I'll start from Wed, cos life before that was just rotting at home. Oh no wait, I'll start from Tues.. Went to watch a show with Alvin and Kev in Tampines. We watched Perth : The Geylang Massacre. Yes, again. Second time for me, but I still enjoyed it. After that we had dinner and went back home. Wed, went to Guitar Workshop with Kev. I wanted to get my bass maintained and also to straighten out the warped neck. Estimated cost : $60. Wa.. Kev also wanted to fix his acoustic and get his pedal board done up so it will look more pro. So who else to ask but guitar pro, Francis Poh, for advice. And so we got advice. Went to art friend, bought a big piece of plywood and proceeded to Kev's to start the mission. I think maybe I should let Kev blog the rest, and I guess he'll have some pics of the completed product too, haha. Had some obstacles along the way too. Go to Kev's for more info when he updates his blog, which should be real soon.
Thursday, spent the afternoon completing the pedal board then went to meet Xav and Fatso for dinner and movie : Red Eye. Not bad, suspenseful in a way, and some parts are predictable, maybe because the trailer spoilt everything. Still, it's worth watching. After the movie, we went back home. Anyway, came across this interesting website claiming to have found many species of weird creatures on earth. They mummified these creatures. These include sea creatures, ranging from fish to turtles and land/air dwellers like dragons and demons. LOL. Yea right? Well, here are some pics I got, up to you to believe. Do I believe? Hmmm..what do you think?

This is called a lesser demon. Looks convincing doesn't it?

The red dragon. These guys are the size of a large bat. Same goes for the rest..

Another demon. Eeek.

Dragon.

This is one of my favourites. I wonder where can I get another one? I want to keep it as a pet..

This is interesting. Notice the arrow shaped tail, just like what we see in cartoons. HAHA. Now I wonder who copied who..

And this is some weird sea/land creature. I also dunno what this is..
Well that's all. Be back to update more later :)
