Haha how long has it been since I last blogged? Was just too lazy to do it, and didn't know where to start since it has been such a long time. Ok..erm.. I think I will try to summarize the past 1 or 2 months in this post. Highlights in Sept, hmm, some birthdays I guess. Celebrated Xav's birthday at Valerie's condo. It was also his farewell before going into NS. Had a smashing time. When I say smashing, I mean it literally. Everyone was smashing perfectly good cake onto each other. Here are some pics of his bday, not much though :
Xav's cake (it's damaged cos someone pushed xav's head onto the cake already) spoiler la tat guy
Xav and his cake before the massacre
And then there was Kev's birthday, which we celebrated on the church rooftop. The initial plan was to have people to perform while the rest can enjoy while having their dinner. But the weather was not too kind. It drizzled, so we moved everything down to the mezzanine level and had dinner there while waiting for the rain to clear up. Thankfully the weather cleared up and so we could still have our performances on the roof.
This is what it was like before the rain.
We also celebrated his bday at Sizzler,Suntec. Had dinner there with a few friends, and we had a salad making competition. Haha. After that, headed down to east coast to meet with roger, evelyn and alex. Just chilled by the beach and played guitar.
My salad. Haha.
Kev's salad.
Philip's salad. No one was declared winner though.
Oh yea, and then there was Kynaston's birthday celebration. I think it was in Aug, can't remember, hehe. We had dinner at fish & Co and he was made to stand on his chair while we sang him his bday song. He didn't look too pleased, LOL.
The fish&Co at dhoby ghaut, parkmall.
So what else have I been doing? Hmm.. I got a new part time job teaching guitar in primary and secondary schools. Just finished a course in Feng Shan pri in Bedok. Teaching is not easy, especially teaching guitar to a big group of students. My class had about 25 students. There are some who are fast learners, and some who are slower in learning. Those students always get left behind. Overall, it's a good experience both for me and the students. =)
A pic of some of my students.
If you ever wanna eat cheap, power Japanese food, you can go to ichiban boshi at wisma. Try the grilled chicken set. It's super power! Haha. Seriously. They give you 4 to 5 fresh slices of salmon sashimi, miso soup, rice, veges/fruit and of course the best grilled teriyaki chicken I have ever eaten. All that for about $13 only.

I also finally learnt how to cook the perfect RARE steak, which is my favourite. I won't eat it any other way :P
The steak I cooked.
What else, deep teaching! Gosh..study study study. Passed, but no distinction =( Oh well, better luck next year, if there is a quiz. Been practicing some new songs to play for Slingshot. I think we're gonna have a gig at the end of the month. Will update more. Also went to see a friend perform at taka. I think his vocals have improved tremendously.
That's about all. I apologize for this messy post. This is what happens when you don't blog for too long. You don't know where to start! Argh! Hope I will get organized soon, hehe :P

Day 104
The drilling and hammering continues. A lifetime of torment and headaches. The noises get so loud that even the dogs can't take it and start barking like crazy. How long more? Why so slow?? Is it because they are *censored*... hais...

3:18am July 28
As usual, I am not asleep yet. The whole neighbourhood is asleep I guess. This probably has to be the most peaceful time ever. No knockings, no drillings, no hammering, no sawing, no nothing coming from either sides of my house. Peaceful.. Maybe I should blast my speakers now to the tunes of Guns N' Roses and give them a taste of their own medicine? Nah. Things will turn ugly.
Actually I don't really have much to blog about. Life has been the same so far. With or without a job, life can get routine if we don't make the best out of it. Recently, I have been thinking a lot about my friends, both past and present, living and deceased. It's amazing how many people I actually know by name. Some are acquaintances, some best friends, some normal friends, some..hmm well... Sometimes, it's hard to classify some of them. Who and what must this paticular friend do in order to be a 'best friend'? Am I being too conditional? What are the benefits of being a 'best friend' to someone, as compared to just being a 'normal friend'? Since this person is my 'best friend', do I have to treat him extra nice and go out of my way more for him than I do for others? What does it take to be a friend to someone? My definition : Love, respect, fun and food. So little you say? Well, love covers a whole chunk of it. Love means : Going out of your way, sacrificing, being humble, listening, helping etc etc etc the list can go on and on. I love being a friend to people. But sadly, due to my sinful human nature, I choose who I want to be a friend to. Sad huh? Am I the only one in the world who is like this? Sure, I can lend a helping hand to others, but to go out of my way and climb that mountain when it's unnecessary? That, I will not do for everyone. I will try my best though. Sometimes I am forced to do it, and I end up sulking the whole day.
Oh well, I hope this does not leave a bad impression on you about me. And I hope it won't deter you from asking me for any favours in the future. For those that know me well enough, you know I am not a bad person =) I don't know why I am blogging about this also. Probably just bored and not sleepy. Feel like blogging more but I won't. Hehe. Till the next update...

N I G H T M A R E S
Ever wondered why people have dreams or nightmares? What do they mean? How do they come about? Are dreams supernatural? Many times, dreams consist of a place or people which we have never met before. I have been plagued by nightmares now and then. My most recent and probably most intense nightmare happened only last night. Everytime these dreams occur, it's about a demon/supernatual being 'oppressing' me. It feels like as if it's trying to take over my body, and it feels so real. Let me share some of these nightmares with you.
This one happened a few months back. I dreamt that I was walking along a main road near my house, when all of a sudden, I came to this old wooden overhead bridge (if you remember those). The thing is, there are no overhead bridges near my house at all, and there never were any. Anyway, I remember crossing the bridge. When I was almost at the end, the surroundings around me suddenly changed. I ended up in a gloomy alley with old broken down buildings surrounding me. The sunlight and the busy road beneath me had disappeared. I walked on and found the place to be strangely familiar. It reminded me of the place my grandma used to live in together with my grandad. Both of them are deceased now. The place was dark, dank and rubbish scattered the alley path.
I then reached this spiral staircase and I dunno why, but I climbed it. I reached the top and found myself in a corridoor with empty rooms on both sides. Everything was abandoned, with broken windows and dirtied, cracked walls. I remember everything quite vividly still. I then saw it, a figure, a shape of a human at the other end of the corridoor. It floated into one of the rooms. I walked on and reached the room which the figure had entered recently. I looked in, and was in shock. The sight which I saw made me freak out. I saw, standing in rows, were many old people, trapped and locked in some kind of contraption. Each individual had something chained to them, like a wooden device. They were pleading for help. All of these people, I have never seen before. All except one. I saw her there, looking at me with a blank stare, calling out my name, as if she was in pain and suffering. It was my grandma. I just stood there, not knowing what to do. When I finally tried to help her, that ghostly figure appeared in front of me, and tried to stop me. It was dressed in a robe with a hood. I could not see it's face, but it was coming closer to me. I turned to run, but could not. I was moving really slowly. Soon the figure overtook me and pinned me to the ground. I tried to struggle and break free, but was too weak. I said a prayer and tried to 'exorcise' the demon, but amazingly, I could say everything except the words Jesus, God and anything related to that. What I felt, was so so real, and can't be described in words. I could control my actions, but was powerless to do anything.
I remembered how I finally woke up. I mustered up enough will power and strength, and grabbed the demon by it's neck and slammed it to the ground. At that point, I woke up and found myself slamming my pillow against the wall, something like that. My heart was pumping fast and adrenalin was rushing through my veins. I didn't go back to sleep after that.
This same dream keeps occuring over and over. The places and people are different, but the encounters are the same. I get attacked, pinned to the ground, lose all control of my body and speech. Sometimes, it's an ugly spectre, sometimes, it's an invisible force. I wonder why these dreams keep happening.

A Lazy Saturday Evening
Wow, MIA for so long already, almost forgot the password to my blog, lol. True la, my blog has been 'pronounced dead' for quite a while already, but who's to say that a dead blog can't be revived right? Thxs to Sera's and big Jo's persistence in irritating me to blog (juz jokin), I have finally decided to. I am bored anyway. Just woke up about 2 hours ago! Why?! Erm, tell you all later.
So what have I been up to in my absence from this part of cyberspace? Spacing out? Nothing much really. Been going out less too, need to save $$. Hehe. Dotaing with the bros, thrashing people, getting thrashed, haha..and made a few new friends in DOTA. Though I have not blogged for a long time, I have nothing interesting to blog about. This is what happens when people 'force' you to update, LoL.
Oh yes, yesterday night/today was rather interesting. Swee Lee, a major guitar store in Singapore, was having it's annual mid year sale, with guitar prices going as low as 50% off their original prices!! I wanted one!! But no money..sigh. Kev on the other hand, managed to raise enough cash to get a Fender Strat, a guitar which he had always wanted to get. Here's a pic:
But in order to get to that guitar, we went through 'hell'. Ok, shop opened at 9am today. 1st person to enter the shop waited since 7am the day before!!! TALK ABOUT KIASU LA!!!! And because of these spoil market people, we too had to go queue, but not at 7am la. Kev and me reached there about 11+pm after TGIF. The queue there was already like, so long! An endless queue of ppl. Luckily, Kev had a friend who was nice enough to book a space in the queue which was quite close to the guitar store. So yea, we waited, and waited. Made quite a few new friends too. We played 'Dai Ti', Mafia (yes, mafia), went for supper, talked. To cut the story short, Kev had his own means and ways to get what he wanted, LoL. Ask him la. He got what he wanted, and at a very very good price too. Reached home, was almost 12 I think. Had lunch, slept (didn't sleep the whole night) and so yea, that's why I just woke up not too long ago. Ok there, I have something to blog about after all. Only too lazy to go into detail. Haha.
